Tecno L9 and L9 Plus To be Officially Launched: See Full Specs

Tecno mobile is already on course to unveil another powerful device, a 
successor to Tecno L8. The company is embarking upon a more 
sophisticated Tecno L9. The L8 is well-known for its powerful battery. 
The smartphone has two versions, the normal L8, and the L8 Plus. The 
upcoming Tecno L9 will also have two versions, Tecno L9 and Tecno L9 
Plus. 
 
Tecno L9 and Tecno L9 Plus will be the latest addition to the L-Series 
and also Tecno first Smartphone this 2017. As expected, there will a 
much better design and software upgrade on the L8.

L-series phones are known for coming with high capacity batteries, as 
the L8 and L8 plus all have a massive 5050mAh battery capacity, it's 
expected that the TECNO L9 and Tecno L9 plus will not be an exception, 
but coming to other specs like RAM size, Tecno L9 is expected to feature
 3 GB while the Tecno L9 Plus should come with a 4GB RAM. 
 
Tecno L8 supports the 2G, 3G and 4G network. The support the three 
generations of networks is excellent, so we expect Tecno L9 and L9 plus 
specs to do the same. L9 plus might do better with the upload and 
download speed of the three networks. 
 
L8 is a dual SIM smartphone and has a body dimension of 154 x 77.5 x 
8.85 mm. Tecno L8 weigh about 135 grams. Tecno L9 is however expected to
 be larger. There may be the reduction in its weight and thickness. Also
 expected to come in more varieties of colors, unlike the L8  which has 
only two varieties (black and white). 
 
Tecno L9 will likely use the same IPS capacitive touchscreen that is 
used in Tecno L8. The IPS capacitive touchscreen is also expected to 
support over 16 million colors. Unlike the Tecno L8 which runs the 
Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, the upcoming L9 and L9 plus are 
expected to come with Android 7.0 Nougat. The 16GB internal 
storage in Tecno L8 is relatively small, so we expect a larger internal 
storage space. It is difficult to tell what type of processor the 
upcoming Tecno L9 will feature. Tecno L8 features the MediaTek 
processor, but we expect something of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Hello guys, it seems Etisalat noticed that the subscribers are not patronizing their previous poppycock night plan, Etisalat is here to make slight adjustments. We all know that Airtel is offering 500MB for N25, Glo offering 1GB for N200 and MTN offers the same 500MB for N25 for those who have meaningful things to do at night. Etisalat

Motorola today announced the new Moto G5 and G5 Plus, but it also had 
some news for Moto Z owners. Motorola also committed to bringing 12 new 
Moto Mods every year as a part of its efforts to support the Moto Z and 
the Moto Z Play. 
 
Motorola, in an effort to keep on its words has unveiled new Moto 
Mods compatible with the Moto Z and the Moto Z Play. This Moto Mods 
include a Gamepad, Charging Adapter, Wireless charging Mod along with a 
Turbo charging Mod.

 Huawei has launched the Huawei Watch 2 and the Huawei Watch 2 Classic 
smartwatches alongside the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus. The original 
Huawei watch was launched two years ago and Huawei did not not update 
its Huawei watch last year due to the unavailability of a new Android 
Wear OS. The Huawei watch 2 starts at EUR 329(Rs.23,200) and will be 
available beginning March. 
 
The  original Huawei watch was a very good smart watch and the second
 generation looks to improvise on it’s success. The main features of the
 Huawei Watch 2 include cellular connectivity(there is a nano-sim slot),
 and Android Pay since it has NFC built in. The smartwatches also 
contain GPS and heart rate sensors. The watch runs on Android Wear 
2.0 and also includes a ‘low power mode’ which only shows the time and 
records steps but promises upto 25 days of battery life. 
 
The 
Huawei Watch 2 sports a plastic build while the Huawei Watch 2 Classic 
sports a metal chassis. Both the watches sport a 1.2-inch circular 
display much like its predecessor, but it is noticeably bulkier. The 
Huawei watches pack a pretty large 420 mAh battery which is claimed to 
last for 2 days. 
      There are two physical buttons found on the 
watches along with a microphone and a speaker. Huawei Watch 2 is now 
iP68 water and dust resistant and the Huawei Watch 2 Classic features a 
‘Hybrid Strap” that has leather top but a rubber interior, which makes 
it sweat-proof. Also, the straps can easily be disconnected and 
interchanged. 
 
Huawei also wants to make this an effective fitness 
tracking device as well and hence it has integrated it’s ‘Fit Program’, 
which offers personalised training according to your goals and work out 
habits. 
As for availability, both the smartwatches will first be 
available in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, and China starting
 this March. Secondly, they will launch in the US, UK, Holland, Belgium,
 Switzerland, Ireland, The Nordics, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, 
Russia, India, South Africa, Poland, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and 
UAE in April. Finally, the smartwatches will launch in Malaysia starting
 in May. 
 
Overall, The Huawei Watch 2 feels like a pretty big update to its 
predecessor and really looks like a good alternative for someone who is 
looking for a smartwatch running Android Wear 2.0.

Samsung may not have unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World 
Congress, but Samsung has managed to release another stylish piece of 
hardware. Samsung released two new hybrids and named them the ‘Galaxy Book‘.
 Samsung is really trying to compete with the Microsoft Surface Line and
 the Galaxy Book indeed has quite a few unique features up its sleeve. 
 
There are 10 and 12 inch variants of the Surface Book and both of 
them are compatible with the new S-Pen that Samsung announced for its 
Tab S3 and the Surface books.

Display: 
Samsung
 has always produced top-notch displays and the Galaxy Book is no 
exception. The 12-inch model sports a 2160×1440 AMOLED panel which looks
 absolutely gorgeous. The display also has HDR support which gives a 
wider colour gamut which makes images and videos look more vibrant and 
richer. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 came out with a HDR display last year 
and it made a night and day difference while watching content that 
support HDR. Netflix and Amazon Prime video provide content with HDR 
support enabled. Unfortunately, the 10-inch version of the Galaxy Book 
comes with a full HD LCD panel, which does not support HDR. 
 
Specifications: 
 
This is one area where Samsung has done a very good job. Samsung has 
made a product that maintains the portability aspect without sacrificing
 performance. Despite the 7.4mm slender profile, the 12-inch variant 
sports an Intel Kaby Lake Core i5 processor, 4GB or 8GB of RAM and a 
128GB or 256GB SSD. This configuration seems pretty promising 
performance wise for a hybrid device with such a thin profile. However, 
the 10-inch variant is powered by a Core M processor, which is still 
acceptable for a laptop convertible. 
          The Galaxy Books sport a 30 
and a 39 watt-hour-battery for the 10 and 12-inch variants respectively 
which is not bad considering that these are portable devices. Samsung 
claims to deliver 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and the 
inclusion of fast charging makes it really impressive. 
 
Software and Features: 
The
 Galaxy Book runs on Windows 10 with a few extra features. The Galaxy 
Book supports the new S-Pen, which can detect up to 4096 levels of 
pressure with its fine 0.7mm nib. The S-Pen can now understand the angle
 at which it is being tilted and Samsung is really proud of this 
feature. It believes that this feature can be really handy for artists 
and designers. Samsung has included familiar S-Pen features like Air 
Command shortcut and Screen off Memo. 
Samsung has added a new 
feature and has named it ‘Flow’. This enables you get smartphone 
notifications on your laptop screen. Flow also allows for easy transfer 
of files between Samsung devices. 
 
Verdict: 
The
 12-inch variant clearly looks more of a worthy buy considering that it 
has a better display, a slimmer profile and a much better processor. 
Samsung has also added a few handy S-Pen features which make the devices
 more useful. However, all would depend on how Samsung optimises these 
features. Sammy has not announced details regarding the pricing although
 it is expected to be priced similar to the Surface Book.

technology, and 256-QAM modulation to achieve LTE download speeds that 
are up to 10x faster than LTE devices. 
 
ZTE’s technology strength 
is amazing in 5G+Pre5G Giga+ MBB solutions and hence the ZTE Gigabit 
phone is three times as powerful at data processing capability in the 
current network. This is an important step from ZTE and introducing 5G 
to 4G networks and providing worldwide careers with Pre 5G solutions. 
 
5G
 will refine the smartphone experience a lot and bring it to a whole new
 level. The speed of 1Gbps will improve users’ lifestyles by allowing 
for 360° panoramic VR video, instant cloud storage, fast downloads of 
ultra Hi-Fi music and movies, and instant APP, which removes the need 
for download or installation of applications.

resolution, an octa-core 1.5GHz chipset and 2GB of RAM. In addition, it

The Exynos 9 Processor was actually 
launched by Samsung, and this launch was much earlier than it was 
expected. The South Korean provided a press conference in order to talk 
about its next-generation SoCs ( the Exynos 9 processor). Its SoCs are 
actually made on the 10nm FinFET manufacturing process. The first model 
of these SoCs, the Exynos 9 series 8895, will not only adopt the 10nm 
process but also use an improved 3D transistor structure. Based on what 
Samsung said during the Press conference, the increase of density of

The entry-level Nokia 3 running Android is officially here. There have been many rumors and leaks
 concerning this device in the last few weeks. Most of them were correct
 about the specs but none got the design right. So here’s the full specs
 of Nokia 3 in case you missed them. The phone features a 5″ HD IPS LCD 
display screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It runs on Android 
7.0 Nougat out of the box with some minor tweaks to the UI.

 is powered by a Mediatek MT6737 1.4GHz quad-core, along with 2GB RAM

introduced two new mid-class smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 
2017 in Barcelona: the Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra – refreshed versions of

Sony has announced today that, in 19 February, the company has 
sold about 915,000 PlayStation VR devices. Sony achived that number in 
only four months after launch. This number is actually surprising, 
according to the company itself. Before, Sony has only targeted the goal
 of selling 1 million VR devices by mid-April. Along with the number 
sold, the average number of hours played with the VR devices has also 
increased. A notable example is Resident Evil 7, which supported<a href="https://badootech.blogspot.com.ng/2017/02/valve-promises-real-life-quality-sounds.html" target="_blank"> VR</a>, has
 its average playtime doubled. The game itself is set to sell 4 million copies on launch. 
 
This
 is a really promising sign for Sony. For now, we don’t have official 
data, but according to SuperData Research, the Occulus Rift has sold 
243,000, and 420,000 for the HTC Vive until the end of 2016 (both of 
these devices are launched at mid-2016). We can see that the PlayStation
<a href="https://badootech.blogspot.com.ng/2017/02/valve-promises-real-life-quality-sounds.html" target="_blank"> VR</a> is doing significantly better than its competitors, by selling more 
in a shorter amount of time. This is definitely great news for Sony, as 
it was quite skeptical on entering the VR race before.

other competitors may be the price. The price of a PS4 Pro + PS VR set 
is definitely much cheaper than the price for a whole PC set and the 
additional VR devices such as the Rift or the Vive. Sony also said that 
the numbers could have been better. As said before, Sony was quite 
skeptical about the VR market, and did not plan to mass produce the VR. 
That has lead to shortages of supply on its home turf, Japan.

With
 the statistics to back it up, the PlayStation VR can be an important

Valve is the co-producer of the Vive VR device with HTC. Recently, it
 has announced the Steam Audio. Through this software, VR content 
developers can enhance user experience by simulating sound effects in 
the most realistic way. The kit allows developers to generate binaural 
audio, which actually simulates how the body feels the sounds. However, 
it also allow the simulation of physical interaction between the sounds 
and the environment. 
 
For instance, if you are standing in a corner
 of a room (in the VR world of course), you will be able to feel the 
sounds ricocheting off the walls. Normally, these types of sound effects
 will be pre-recorded, making it sound unnatural in many instances. 
However, the Steam Audio kit allows physical calculations to simulate 
sounds in real-time and in the most accurate way possible. You can see 
the video below for how the software works. 
 
Valve is now offering the Steam Audio software free of charge. It is 
now compatible to games developed with engine Unity (like Mobius Final 
Fantasy, Pillar of Eternity, I Am Setsuna, etc.). The version compatible
 with engine Unreal 4 games (like Gears of War, Batman, Streetfighter, 
etc.) will be released in the near future. Something to note though, 
that the decision to use Steam Audio to enhance the sounds of VR games 
lies solely on the developers. Valve is just offering a solution.
